When last we covered Dawson City Music Festival, the one event that comes to mind is the Yukon Girls Rock Camp show. Basically young females spend a week getting to know music in a way that boosts their creativity and motivates them to be talented artists. When I saw it on the schedule this year I immediately said it was our can't-miss show to take in at DCMF. Sure enough, the girls didn't disappoint.

After the girls rocked out I talked to one of the participants and her mom. Later, one of the organizers told me how important the music camp is for girls.
